Hangar57 was formed in 2019 at Eshott Airfield, Northumberland. The idea behind Hangar57 was to form a unique collection of vintage and interesting aircraft in the North of the UK, at Eshott Airfield - the former home of Spitfire training unit, 57 OTU.
The aim of Hangar57 was simple:
1. To inspire the next generation by making available our aircraft for both static and flying displays and to offer flying experiences where possible
2. To educate the next generation of vintage aircraft pilots through our on site flying school and to create interest in vintage engineering through our own approved maintenance facility
3. To remember all those who designed, built, maintained and flew this types of aircraft
